If you want to take your mind off the hustle and bustle of city life, check the links below for more beautiful sites, like this sunset in Dominica.  Some things in life just cannot be captured in a picture alone, but you can imagine sitting on a distant shore watching the sun go down and thinking what a wonderful world it is.  The picture you see here was taken from Morne Anglais (English Mountain) and looks down over the Caribbean sea.  This site will give you more details about beautiful Dominica.

If you would like to learn one of the indigenous  languages of Dominica, that is Kwèyòl, check out this site at cakafete.comOf course, there is much more on the site, so look around and learn more about the beautiful island of Dominica.

For some Dominican music, check out this site and listen to insightful lyrics written and sung by a conscious sister, Nelly Stharre.  She is a lovely and gentle woman blessed with a unique and melodic voice.

The site is Blip.fm and the DJ is Shoosh, a Dominican brother, a spiritual man, musician and artist.  Check his other music while there. His picture is to the right of this. Enjoy!

For a most interesting history of Dominica, check this site.  Very well written history by Lennox Honychurch, the resident historian and former parlimentarian and beautifully illustrated with his own artwork and drawings. The one below is from his book The Dominica Story - A History of the Island It is a beautiful depiction of the beauty of Dominica with its tall mountains, pristine streams, rocky terrain, lush flora and fauna of all varieties, including their national Sisserou parrot, one of the few remaining 'primitive' Amazona parrots. Being in this environment brings out the creative side of so many Dominicans.
