What is the best accounting solution for my small business?

Q: What is the best accounting solution for my small business?

A: This question is best answered by completing the questionnaire found in the tab Client Needs under the "The Bottom Line" tab. This will enable FOBS to understand your accounting needs, skill levels, and the amount of time you have to devote to maintenance of your financial records. We will review your present methods and suggest a course of action and suitable software to meet your requirements. You may also access information on our site that will provide you with an overview of what each software provides. You will find links under THE BOTTOM LINE tab related to each software. If you require any further information, please prepare a list of questions that we can review and give you feedback.

Q: I have never used any of the software FOBS supports. Do you also provide training?

A: FOBS provides training based on your skill level. Alternatively, we provide hands-on maintenance of all your accounting records. Each service we provide is geared to meeting your requirements. We provide training in house, off site and on a one-on-one basis. We also offer ongoing support and a free newsletter which provides up-to-date information on all the latest developments in the software used to maintain your records.

Q: I have more than one employee that requires training. Does FOBS offer group sessions?

A: Yes we do and we provide group rates for five or more employees. Once you complete the questionairre and we know your requirements, we will provide you with a written quote outlining the cost and terms.

Q: What happens if my company outgrows the software? Is there an easy way to upgrade to a more robust version?

A: Both QuickBooks and Sage Accpac ERP have versions which are convertible to accommodate business growth and options that provide timely conversion so that down time is minimal.

Q: I simply do not have time to maintain my own financial records and would like to have a monthly review of my records. Does FOBS provide this service?

A: If FOBS maintains your financial records, part of the service includes month-end journal entries, bank reconciliations, generation of financial statements and a review of your financial position.
